Biography

Sebastian Tong, MD, MPH, is a family physician, addiction medicine specialist and health services researcher in the Department of Family Medicine. He practices at the Family Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center where he provides both primary care and pregnancy care. He serves as the Associate Director of the WWAMI region Practice and Research Network. He is a 2023-2025 National Academy of Medicine Puffer/ABFM fellow and is participating in both consensus statement and standing committees at the National Academy of Medicine in this role. His research interests include integrated behavioral health and addiction care, health equity, and implementation science. He received his medical training from the Boston University School of Medicine, completed a Master of Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health, and finished residency at Lawrence Family Medicine Residency.
